  1. Totally agree with you, both pieces sound quite similar, although both pieces of music are fine in their own right, but for me the similarity is either a great coincidence or maybe Beethoven was being clever...?

    1. It could be a deliberate allusion, but I think the thing with music is that sometimes a composer might think a tune is from their own head but they've actually heard it somewhere.

  2. I know each of these pieces, absolutely love them, and i simply can never remember which is which. This annoys me no end.
