  1. 'Anora' is getting so many divisive opinions, what makes it good for you.

    1. I think it's a funny film, with well-written dialogue and good acting.
Do I think it's one of the greatest films of all time? No. Do I think it's as good as some of the Oscar winners in the 50s-70s? Also no. But it's a good, enjoyable, rewatchable film.
From that year, I think The Brutalist is a deeper, more thought-provoking film, though I'm not sure it's a film I want to watch many times.

  2. I noticed you liked the Ealing studio films. Have you seen Kind Hearts and Coronets? It's the best.

    1. Yes, I watched that one last year. Loved it.

  3. A lot of classic screwball there - always a good choice! I'm not a fan of The Big Clock, because its semi-jokey tone is so different from Kenneth Fearing's doom-laden novel.

What didn't you like about Odd Man Out?

    1. I enjoyed The Big Clock though No Way Out is a better film.
Nothing against Odd Man Out, I just thought it's all right and forgettable.
