LOL - "The French Dispatch" was pretty lame wasn't it? Ida? I can't remember the story but the photography was good.
ReplyDeleteThe French Dispatch as a whole I didn't like. But I like the segment "The Private Dining Room of the Police Commissioner". That one is fun.
DeleteAs for Ida, I agree that the cinematography is good, especially the framing. Very interesting framing. But the film as a whole lacks something, and now that I think back on it, I can't help thinking that it's one of those films that exploit the Holocaust as a cheap, easy way to make people feel sad.
