  1. I am stunned! Your record-keeping and/or memory surpass any of my capabilities. I am challenged to remember yesterday let alone such a comprehensive record as you have posted. Wow!

(I watch few movies, but I would agree that Double Indemnity is a great film!)

    1. Nah, not memory. I have to keep a list because I watch a lot and may need it for, say, recommending films to people or making other lists :D
The 5 films I love the most among those listed above are:
      - On the Waterfront
      - Sunset Blvd
      - The Apartment
      - The Best Years of Our Lives
      - The Woman in the Dunes
But yeah, that one is good too.

  2. Postscript: I am just now reading Tolkien, so I am postponing any Tolkien films until I have finished the books. And I wonder -- isn't it odd that Tolkien's creations (with the Christian themes) continue to be so popular even in a world that has become increasingly secular and openly hostile to the Christian religion.

    1. I haven't read any of Tolkien's books, but I think they continue to be popular because people can read and enjoy them without connecting these books/films with Christianity or even noticing the Christian themes. And there are creatures like elves, dwarves, trolls..., which are already known to people familiar with Western mythologies, like Harry Potter has dragons, unicorns, werewolves, goblins, centaurs... The world has become increasingly secular and hostile to the Christian religion (even Santa Claus), but the world still likes those creatures and the fantasy genre.
It seems that the The Lord of the Rings films are more popular than the The Hobbit trilogy.

    1. It's more like, I didn't get it. Like I didn't get "Gilda". But I will watch them both again when there's time.
