Fanny Price- L'Étranger
Fanny
Price is an outsider, an outsider everywhere- the whole time at Mansfield park,
constantly reminded of her inferior status, then back at home after many years,
alienated from everyone and from the life she no longer knows. The feeling is
exactly the same as that of one who leaves one's country for another, in some
sense forever an outsider in the new country, but back at one's homeland, no
longer seen by others and oneself as a part of one's own people.
